My Great Uncle was a Massey Ferguson Tractor dealer in Brooksville, Kentucky some years ago. I remember marveling at the size of some of the equipment that came through that place.

In 1992 Rumford Industrial Group was awarded the Farm Industry News’ new product of the year award for introducing Belzona 1111 (Super Metal) to use in place of welding for many applications. And, over this next year I want to introduce you to these cost saving repair methods using this material.

Damage to shafts can shut your operation down in no time and to disassemble the unit, take the shaft to be welded up and machined back down is time consuming.

Belzona 1111 (Super Metal) has been used for over 60 years for repairs like these. I’m attaching a 10 minute video that shows you – step by step – how to do this either in place or in your shop. And it is quick. Once the Belzona repair has been made to the damaged area you can machine it in as little as 30 minutes. A 5 year shelf life and 100% solids make it a great addition to your tool box.

I hope you’ll share our processes with others in your industry. We are certain this method of repairing your component equipment is much easier and more efficient than either welding…..or replacement.
